The Future of Cities Forum 2011 was held in Delhi, India.
On 8th and 9th March 2011 the World Future Council’s Cities and Climate Change Commission and Development Alternatives held a two day workshop at the Habitat Centre in New Delhi on the subject of Regenerative Urbanisation in India: Steps towards future-proofing Indian Cities. The workshop was attended by a total of 60 people, including members of parliament, academic researchers, planners, architects, property developers, civil engineers, specialists on water, waste, transport and energy, and university students. Participants were unanimously of the view that the topic of the workshop was of critical importance to India and needs much greater attention than it has received so far.
